So.....I can't sleep. I have an appointment in the morning with the Perinatologist to check the status of the Placenta Previa. I so badly want it to be resolved. I pray everything with baby Hunter looks great. I have unwavering faith that God will protect. I'm still a wreck though. So I guess some would say that's wavering. Bleh on some. Growing babies is quite an undertaking and such a feeling of responsibility. Even when things are out if your hands you feel responsible.
Thank goodness my Mom is here to go with me. She and the girls will be there as we get a look on the ultrasound. Mark is traveling for work. It will be weird to do this without my rock, but I have my Mama and that's making it all better.
If you don't mind and have a space on your long list of prayers...say one for me.

PLACENTA PREVIA
So a lot of people ask me facts about Placenta Previa.
Here are the facts I can read about and not get too much anxiety over.
1) 1 in 200 women are diagnosed with PP
2) 90% of cases resolve before 36 weeks
Make me crazy facts
1) Bleeding is common with P (I have had one episode at 20 weeks. It totally freaked me out, but all was okay and Hunter wasn't phased a bit.)
2) If not resolved before 36 weeks a cesarian is scheduled (I haven't had one so having a c-section is scary to me)
3) Most PP patients have to be on bed rest at some point during pregnancy.
There are many many many more facts and stats but I'm pleading "ignorance is bliss" and choose not to read ALL about PP. I'm just gonna take it in stride and listen to my docs. I see the specialist next Wed the 24th. Say a little prayer for me and baby Hunter too!
Here's a little photo so you can see what exactly is going on inside a PP uterus. Don't worry. It's not MY uterus. Ewe.

NYC NEVER GETS OLD
Mark and I try to go to New York once a year to see Jeff and Allison. We didn't go at our regular time of year because we were in St. Lucia celebrating 10 amazing years of marriage, so we decided to go this summer. It was hot, it was humid, but most importantly it was FUN!!! We love NYC. We have already done a lot of tourist-y things our first couple of trips so we didn't feel like we needed to stay out until 2am being entertained. Most of the nights we were there we just went back to their apartment and hung out. It was fun to be relaxed and catch up! One night we even had a BBQ with some of their friends. Anyway...enough blabbing...here are some pics from the trip!

My awesome parents kept the girls while we went on our little trip. The girls had a great time at Nana and Papa's...as usual. Mom said that Haelyn cried when she realized we were coming home because she knew that meant she would have to come back to Abilene. They are happy to see us when we get there, but not sure they ever miss us for one minute. That's okay...makes me feel better to leave them for our get aways. They went to the water park, shopping, rode the tractors, fed the animals, played in the sandbox, ran in the sprinklers, played with play dough and much much more I haven't even heard about. Non stop action with Nana and Papa!

It's a BOY!
Yes, you read right!! It's a boy! We found out that we will be hugging and kissing a Mark Hunter Rogers Jr. (Hunter) in November. He looks wonderful! The girls don't seem super thrilled in the video where we told them about their brother, but they are very excited. Haelyn insists we call him nothing but Hunter, no nicknames for her baby brother. She's a mess!
Definitely BOY parts!
Revealing the gender video!
We would have been more than thrilled to have another cute little girl running around this house. On the same note we are more than thrilled for the change and newness of a little boy. I'm so excited my girls will get to have a brother. They will drive him nuts and boss him around. They will teach him how to be a gentleman. I'm sure they will all have a good laugh tooting and burping together. Mark will get to teach a boy of his own how to throw a ball and how to lead a family.
Side note/prayer request...
While we got mostly GREAT news and the baby looks great, we also got news that I have placenta previa. Placenta previa is where the placenta is covering all or part of the cervix. I have partial covering and no hemorrhage. The Perinatologist is not worried about it and told me not to worry either. I have had NO bleeding or any signs that I have this. However, I will go back to the specialist on July 24th to see if it has moved. That's our prayer...that the placenta will move up to where it should be. My risks are bleeding and c-section. I didn't have this with my other pregnancies and it makes me a little nervous, but really what can I do about it? Nothing. I'm just praying a lot and asking for your prayers too. I've talked to a few people who had the same thing and they have all made me feel better.
